1. WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED TO SEND A PARCEL?

WHEN SENDING A PARCEL YOU NEED TO WRITE THE FULL DELIVERY ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PARCEL. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THESE DETAILS ARE CORRECT AS UNDELIVERED PARCELS ARE RETURNED AT A COST TO THE SENDER (PLEASE SEE SECTION 17 BELOW FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ON THIS).

2.WHAT IS A PARCEL LABEL

A PARCEL LABEL IS PROVIDED SO THAT YOUR PARCEL CAN BE TRACKED FROM DOOR TO DOOR. IT CONTAINS THE SENDERS DETAILS, THE RECEIVERS DETAILS, SIZE AND WEIGHT OF THE PARCEL(S) BEING SENT. THIS WILL EITHER BE EMAILED TO YOU PRIOR TO THE COLLECT OR IN SOME CASES, THE DRIVER WILL PROVIDE THIS. YOU WILL BE TOLD WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR COLLECTION IF YOU WILL RECEIVE THIS BY EMAIL OR FROM THE DRIVER.

3.WHAT IS A CUSTOMS DECLARATION/INVOICE?


A CUSTOMS INVOICE IS A DOCUMENT THAT IS REQUIRED TO GET YOUR PARCEL(S) THROUGH CUSTOMS.THESE ARE REQUIRED ONLY FOR PARCELS BEING SENT OUTSIDE THE EU AND CAN BE PRINTED FROM THE "CUSTOMS PAPERWORK" SECTION OF OUR HOMEPAGE.

4.WHICH COUNTRIES ARE IN THE EU?

THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES ARE MEMBERS OF THE EU :

Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom.

5.WILL THERE BE ANY DUTIES OR TAXES PAYABLE?

WHEN SENDING A PARCEL WITHIN THE EU, THERE ARE NO DUTIES OR TAXES PAYABLE. HOWEVER WHEN SENDING A PARCEL OUTSIDE THE EU, THERE MAY BE DUTIES OR TAXES TO PAY, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ARE SENDING AND WHERE YOU ARE SENDING TO. THESE CHARGES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE YOU PAY TO PARCELFLIGHT.CO.UK FOR DELIVERY. ANY DUTIES OR TAXES ARE PAYABLE BY THE RECIPIENT.FOR ANY INFORMATION ON DUTIES AND TAXES, YOU NEED TO CONTACT CUSTOMS AND EXCISE.

6.ARE THERE ANY ITEMS THAT I AM NOT ALLOWED TO SEND?

WHEN SENDING A PARCEL,IT IS IMPORTANT TO ESTABLISH WHETHER THE ITEMS YOU ARE SENDING ARE ALLOWED OR NOT.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED FROM BEING SENT ON ANY OF OUR SERVICES.IT IS THE SENDER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE ITEMS BEING SEND ARE NOT PROHIBITED.IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT YOUR ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED,PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER. 7.HOW BIG CAN MY PARCEL BE?

WHEN SENDING A PARCEL IT IS IMPORTANT TO WORK OUT THE SIZE AND WEIGHT OF YOUR PARCEL. THIS WILL DETERMINE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS. YOU WILL BE CHARGED ON THE GREATER, YOUR ACTUAL WEIGHT OR YOUR DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT.THE ACTUAL WEIGHT IS WHAT YOUR PARCEL WEIGHS IN KILOS, WHERE AS YOUR DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT IS THE VOLUME OF THE PARCEL.YOU WILL BE CHARGED ON THE GREATER OF THE 2. SO IF YOUR ACTUAL WEIGHT IS 7 KILOS BUT YOUR DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT IS 12 KILOS, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR 12 KILOS.TO WORK THIS OUT, ENTER YOUR PARCEL DETAILS ON THE HOME PAGE.

8.WHAT IF I ENTER FALSE/INCORRECT WEIGHT AND DIMENISONS WHEN BOOKING?

WHEN BOOKING A PARCEL IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU ENTER THE CORRECT SIZE AND WEIGHT. IF YOU ENTER FALSE/INCORRECT MEASURMENTS OR STATE AN INCORRECT NUMBER OF PARELS, PARCELFLIGHT.CO.UK WILL CHARGE YOU FOR ANY EXTRA COST THAT OCCUR. THIS WILL BE TAKEN VIA YOUR METHOD OF PAYMENT OR SIMILAR. THERE WILL ALSO BE AN ADMIN CHARGE FOR THIS. THIS WILL ALSO RESULT IN DELAYS IN DELIVERY.

9.IS MY PARCEL INSURED?

ALL SERVICES PROVIDE AN INCLUDED INSURANCE COVER OF £50. YOU CAN INCREASE THIS LEVEL OF INSURANCE FOR AN EXTRA COST AND YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO THIS WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO NOT TAKE ADDITIONAL INSURE COVER, YOU WILL ONLY BE INSURED FOR A MAXIMUM OF £50 REGARDLESS OF THE VALUE OF YOUR PARCEL. PLEASE GO TO OUR INSURANCE SECTION OF THE WEBSITE FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

10.HOW DO I SUBMIT A CLAIM?

IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF YOUR PARCEL BEING LOST OR DAMAGED, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO RAISE A CLAIM. THE IS A CUT OFF PERIOD OFF 5 WORKING DAYS FROM DELIVERY OF THE PARCEL (FOR DAMAGE) AND 5 WORKING DAYS FROM THE DUE DELIVERY DATE FOR LOSS. AFTER THIS PERIOD, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RAISE A CLAIM.

11.DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO BE PRESENT WHEN THE DRIVER COMES TO COLLECT?

YES. WHEN THE DRIVER COMES TO COLLECT, SOMEONE MUST BE AVAILABLE TO HAND THE PARCEL(S) AND ANY RELEVANT PAPERWORK TO THE DRIVER.

12.DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO SIGN FOR THE PARCEL AT THE DELIVERY ADDRESS?


YES.THE DRIVER WILL NOT LEAVE A PARCEL AT THE DELIVERY ADDRESS UNLESS SOMEBODY IS THERE TO SIGN FOR THE DELIVERY(UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED).IF NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO SIGN FOR THE PARCEL,THE DRIVER WILL LEAVE A CARD, WITH A CONTACT NUMBER ON IT. IT IS THEN THE SENDERS/RECEIVERS RESPONSIBILITY TO REARRANGE THE DELIVERY. IF NO CONTACT IS MADE, THE PARCEL MAY BE RETURNED AND THIS WILL BE AT A COST TO THE SENDER.

13.WHAT TIME DO YOU COLLECT?

COLLECTIONS ARE MADE BETWEEN 9AM AND 5.30PM GENERALLY. PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS.

14.WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT I CAN SEND?

WE CAN ARRANGE TO SEND MOST ITEMS REGARDLESS OF SIZE OR WEIGHT AND WE WILL ADVISE YOU OF THE RELEVANT COSTS ASSOCIATED. PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE IF YOUR REQUIRMENTS ARE OUTSIDE OF WHAT THE WEBSITE WILL QUOTE YOU FOR.

15.SHOULD I KEEP MY PARCEL LABEL/RECEIPT?

YES. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS THIS HAS YOUR TRACKING NUMBER ON IT.

16.CAN I SEND A PARCEL TO A PO BOX.

YOU CAN SEND TO PO BOX ADDRESSES ON SOME BUT NOT ALL SERVICES. PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

17.CAN I TRACK MY PARCEL?

YES. ALL PARCELS ARE FULLY TRACKABLE AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TRACK YOUR PARCEL. THE TRACKING INFORMATION WILL LET YOU KNOW IF DELIVERY HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED OR IF FURTHER DETAILS ARE REQUIRED IN ORDER TO DELIVER. THIS TRACKING INFORMATION IS THE CARRIERS WAY OF LETTING YOU KNOW OF ANY ISSUES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW YOUR PARCELS PROGRESS CAN LEAD TO ALERTS BEING MISSED. IF DELIVERY IS HAMPERED DUE TO POOR ADDRESS INFORMATION, LACK OF CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER OR FAILURE TO RESPOND TO CALLING CARD, YOUR PARCEL MAY BE RETURNED. IF THIS HAPPENS, THE SENDER WILL INCURR COSTS FOR THE RETURN OF THE PARCEL, SO PLEASE ENUSRE YOU TRACK YOUR PARCEL AND YOU CAN AVOID ANY UNNECESSARY DELAYS OR COSTS.

19.WHO WILL COLLECT MY PARCEL?


YOUR PARCEL WILL BE COLLECTED BY ON OF OUR APPROVED PARTNERS AND WE WILL ADVISE YOU ONCE WE RECEIVE THE DETAILS OF YOUR BOOKING REQUEST.

20.Can i request a VAT invoice for my order?


Yes. To request a copy of a VAT invoice for your transaction, please contact us via email or telephone, where our staff will be happy to assist or if you have booked and paid online line you will be able to retrieve it from the customs paperwork and vat receipt section from the home page by entering your booking reference and email address.

21. Refunds

All refund requests must be placed in writing or by email with full name collection address, delivery address, and parcel or consignment numbers and a claim form supplied by Parcelflight.co.uk.

Once a refund has been confirmed, you will be refunded via your original payment method.

Refunds are not given for late collection or consequential loss.

Once a collection attempt has been made, a refund cannot be issued due to a charge being made by the carrier.
